There are 3 small, unincorporated communities located within the town. They are West Bloomfield, Tustin and Brushville. State Highway 49 is the main roadway through the town. Several county roads - U, A, HH, I and M cut through Bloomfield as well. This area has quite a bit of wetlands, marshes and lowlands, along with some woods and a lot of farm fields with several unnamed creeks. The only named streams are Alder Creek and Mosquito Creek. A small portion of Lake Poygan is in the southeast corner of the town.

Because of the amount lowlands, there are larger land owners with the average smaller plot of land being a 40-acre parcel. There's not much Public Land compared to other Waushara County towns; only a couple boat launches and REM-Pony Creek.
